Sometimes you have to do nothing. Just cross your ankles, lean back in the sand, and listen to the pulse of the ocean, to be one with nature, to listen to the quiet. Sometimes nothing is the path to something, to creating, producing, and contributing. It allows us to rest our minds, bodies and souls and recharge. And that's why it's been quiet here on the blog front. I've taken time off to travel, to be with my family, to breathe, to do nothing. And it feels great.
So this post is like a public service announcement to ban the guilt over doing nothing and take the time to step away, even for a short time. It's a reminder to refresh, renew, reinvigorate. When we are in the midst of going and doing, we forget the importance of just being and listening to the rhythms of nature and the whispers of our souls. They are waiting to be heard if we will just be still.
I'm back soon and can't wait to write stories from my travels in Africa, where I've met fascinating people doing incredible things. More on that later, but for now I'm off to make memories with my family and to spend some time doing nothing.
Peace and love, Underdogs!
